Rittenhouse is a bold, spicy 4 year old bottled in bond rye whiskey. Named after Philadelphia's historic Rittenhouse Square, it was introduced in 1934 just after the end of Prohibition. In the late 90s when whiskey as a category was in decline, Heaven Hill purchased the brand and saved it from fading into obscurity.
